Alton Franklin Burns III has filed a lawsuit against Pellicano Co., Inc. in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, Athens Division. The complaint alleges violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Burns claims that after sustaining a back injury at work, which led to a disability, he was terminated without being informed of his FMLA rights or given a reason for his dismissal. He seeks damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and punitive damages due to alleged discrimination and retaliation by Pellicano Co., Inc.
