In a recent decision by the Court of Appeals of Georgia, Ayodele Ajigbolamu’s appeal in a breach of contract case against Jeremy Milne was partially successful. The court affirmed the trial court’s summary judgment in favor of Milne concerning consequential damages but reversed it regarding general damages. Ajigbolamu, who represented himself, claimed Milne failed to complete tile work as agreed upon in their contract, seeking $5,300 for repairs and $86,920 for delays. However, the court found that while there was a valid contract and breach, Ajigbolamu did not provide sufficient evidence for consequential damages. The case is remanded to the trial court for further proceedings on general damages.
