In a recent legal filing, Carlos Stallings has lodged a complaint against Polk County in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Rome Division. The lawsuit, filed on September 28, 2025, accuses Polk County of violating Stallings’ Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights during an incident that occurred on August 28, 2025. Stallings claims he was unlawfully detained and searched by Officer Isahias Anguiano without probable cause while driving in Polk County. The suit alleges that the search was a baseless attempt to find drugs and seeks damages for emotional suffering, punitive damages, attorney fees, and other reliefs.
