The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia announced on March 12 that it has updated its procedures for applications for admission pro hac vice, effective April 1, 2026.
This update is important for attorneys seeking temporary admission to practice in the court, as it streamlines the application and payment process.
According to General Order No. 52-2026, which was entered by the court on March 11, the new procedures will allow for electronic filing of applications and payment of the required filing fee through the court’s Electronic Case Filing System. The order has been posted under the “Local Rules and General Orders” tab of the court’s website.
Vania S. Allen, Clerk of Court, said these changes are intended to improve efficiency and accessibility for applicants.
The new procedures reflect ongoing efforts by courts to modernize administrative processes and provide more convenient options for legal professionals.
