In a recent filing with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, Savannah Division, plaintiff Datriana Lopez has brought a lawsuit against Western Power Sports, Inc. The complaint alleges violations under Title VII and 42 U.S.C. ยง 1981, citing discriminatory treatment and unlawful retaliation. Lopez claims she was subjected to sexual harassment by her supervisor, Anthony Allen, which included offensive comments and inappropriate touching. Despite reporting the harassment to human resources, Lopez alleges that no effective action was taken, leading to a hostile work environment and her eventual forced resignation in May 2024. The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages for emotional distress and lost wages, as well as punitive damages.
