In a recent court filing, David Steven Hadarits has brought a civil rights lawsuit against Wilkinson County, Georgia, and several county officials. The case, filed in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, Macon Division, alleges violations of Hadarits’ First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights during a public meeting on November 14, 2023. Hadarits claims that while lawfully recording the meeting of the Wilkinson County Board of Elections, he was ordered to stop by county officials and threatened with arrest.
