Desiree Knight has filed a lawsuit against the Bibb County School District in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, Macon Division. The case involves allegations of retaliation and exclusion under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Knight claims that after entering into a Mediation Agreement with the school district on June 18, 2025, she faced barriers to participation, incomplete educational records, and pressure to withdraw her complaint. She is seeking injunctive relief, compensatory damages for emotional distress, and damages for breach of the Mediation Agreement.

Knight is representing herself in this case, while MaryGrace B. Kittrell from Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP represents the defendant.
