Destiny Piper has filed a lawsuit against Baldwin County School District and ESS Southeast, LLC in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, Athens Division. The complaint alleges discrimination and retaliation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Piper, who suffers from degenerative disk disease, claims she was terminated after requesting reasonable accommodations for her disability. The lawsuit seeks damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and punitive damages, along with attorney fees and other relief. Piper’s legal representation is provided by V. Severin Roberts and Douglas R. McMillan of The Workers’ Firm.
