Divya Buckleman has filed a lawsuit against her former employer, alleging a hostile work environment and retaliation. The complaint was lodged on December 9, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against ADP Benefit Services KY, Inc. Buckleman accuses the company of violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by allowing gender discrimination and retaliating against her after she reported these issues.

According to the complaint, Divya Buckleman began working at ADP as Director of Product Management in August 2022. She reports that soon after joining, she faced discriminatory remarks from her supervisor, Sai Mudulodu, who suggested that women needed to be divorced to achieve higher positions within the company. This was followed by a series of events where male colleagues allegedly mistreated her and pushed their responsibilities onto her. Despite raising these concerns with HR and management multiple times, Buckleman claims that no action was taken to address the hostile work environment.

Buckleman’s allegations include being excluded from critical meetings, having her responsibilities reassigned without justification, and being subjected to derogatory comments by colleagues like John Kneafsey and John Armstrong. In one instance during a team meeting on March 3, 2023, Armstrong allegedly yelled at Buckleman and made threatening gestures towards her. When she sought help from HR’s Associate Relations department in July 2023 regarding these incidents, an investigation found no wrongdoing on her part; however, she alleges that this complaint led to further retaliation rather than resolution.

The plaintiff is seeking various forms of relief from the court including back pay, front pay, compensatory damages for emotional distress caused by the alleged discrimination and retaliation, punitive damages due to what she describes as malicious intent or reckless disregard for her rights by ADP Benefit Services KY Inc., reinstatement into a suitable position within the company if possible under non-hostile conditions or equivalent compensation otherwise.

Representing Divya Buckleman is attorney Thomas F. Martin from Martin & Martin LLP based in Tucker, Georgia. The case is presided over by Judge Steven D. Grimberg with Case ID: 1:25-cv-07025-SDG-JHR.
