A high-stakes legal battle has erupted over alleged fraudulent inducement in a senior executive hiring process. Brad Lamonte, an experienced executive from Ohio, filed a complaint against Silon US LLC in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on January 30, 2026. The lawsuit accuses Silon US LLC of misleading him during recruitment for a senior leadership position.
The case revolves around a series of events that began in October 2024 when Lamonte was recruited by Silon through a third-party executive recruiter. According to the complaint, Lamonte was provided with a written job description detailing responsibilities such as leadership of the manufacturing plant and oversight of quality and continuous improvement. Although initially not selected for the role, Lamonte was recontacted in June 2025 after the first candidate gave notice. Relying on this job description, he accepted the position, relocated to Georgia, and began his employment in August 2025.
However, complications arose approximately five weeks into his new role when Lamonte received an internal governance document that significantly altered his job responsibilities. This document assigned key responsibilities to another executive position contrary to what was initially described during recruitment. “Plaintiff would not have accepted the position had the responsibilities reflected in Exhibit 2 been disclosed during recruitment,” states the complaint.
Lamonte claims he suffered economic losses due to these misrepresentations and is seeking compensatory damages along with costs and reasonable attorney’s fees. He argues that Silon’s actions constituted fraudulent inducement under applicable laws since he relied on false representations when making significant life changes including relocating from Ohio to Georgia.
Representing himself pro se, Brad Lamonte is demanding a jury trial to resolve these issues. The case is presided over by Judge Leigh Martin May under Case ID 3:26-cv-00021-LMM.
