In a recent court filing, Katherine Showfety has lodged a lawsuit against Perfect Sense, Inc., operating as Brightspot, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The case centers on allegations of disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, and retaliation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Showfety claims that after being diagnosed with serious heart conditions in early 2023, Brightspot failed to provide reasonable accommodations and subsequently demoted and terminated her employment. The plaintiff seeks various forms of relief including back pay, reinstatement or front pay, compensatory damages, and attorney’s fees.
