In a recent decision by the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the ongoing custody battle between Lanikki Jones and Young Hughley over their now-adult son, Young Hughley Jr., has been deemed largely moot. The court vacated previous orders regarding visitation and remanded the case to dismiss claims related to custody and visitation since the child is now 18 years old. However, one issue remains under review: Jones’ contempt ruling from April 2022, where she was found to have willfully disobeyed court orders regarding visitation rights for Hughley. The court upheld this ruling and affirmed the award of attorney fees to Hughley.
