Northern District of Georgia appoints new judges to complex Chapter 11 panel

Beginning September 1, 2026, the Atlanta Division of the Northern District of Georgia will have a new panel designated for Complex Chapter 11 Cases. The court announced that Judge Jeffery W. Cavender, Judge Sage M. Sigler, and Judge Jonathan W. Jordan will serve on this panel.

This change follows General Order No. 52-2026, which was entered by the court on February 24, 2026. The order is available to the public under the “Local Rules and General Orders” section of the court’s website.

Vania S. Allen, Clerk of Court, stated: “General Order No. 52-2026 entered by the Court on February 24, 2026 has been posted under the ‘Local Rules and General Orders’ tab of the Court’s website and may be viewed here. Beginning September 1, 2026, the Honorable Jeffery W. Cavender, Honorable Sage M. Sigler, and Honorable Jonathan W. Jordan will serve on the Panel in Complex Chapter 11 Cases in the Atlanta Division of the Northern District of Georgia.”
