Phillip Berry has filed a lawsuit against Waste Pro of Georgia, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division. The complaint alleges violations under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Berry claims he faced discrimination due to his age and disability, which includes PTSD from his military service. He further asserts that he was retaliated against after raising concerns about discriminatory remarks made by a manager, Steve Farris, regarding older employees and those with disabilities. Despite filing complaints with Human Resources, Berry alleges that no action was taken to address these issues, leading to his termination on July 10, 2025. Berry seeks damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and punitive damages.
