Pamela Gibson, a former executive at an insurance group, has filed a lawsuit alleging systemic discrimination and retaliation in her workplace. On December 10, 2025, Gibson filed the complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against PointeNorth Insurance Group, Legacy Risk Solutions, and BroadStreet Partners.
The lawsuit paints a troubling picture of alleged sex discrimination and retaliation within these companies. Pamela Gibson claims that she was paid significantly less than her male counterparts despite performing similar roles with equivalent responsibilities. According to the complaint, when she expressed interest in succeeding the Executive Chairman William Skeeles, she was told that women were not accepted in leadership roles within the industry. Furthermore, Gibson alleges that discriminatory remarks were made by company executives, including derogatory comments about racial minorities and directives not to hire Black applicants. These actions are claimed to be violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Equal Pay Act.
Gibson’s legal action seeks injunctive relief to prevent future violations, along with back pay for lost wages and benefits. She is also pursuing compensatory damages for emotional distress and punitive damages aimed at punishing the defendants for their conduct. The lawsuit highlights how her complaints about discrimination led to retaliatory actions against her, culminating in her termination after refusing to sign a release related to her employment under terms she found unacceptable.
Represented by attorney Thomas J. Mew IV from Buckley Bala Wilson Mew LLP, Gibson’s case underscores significant allegations against prominent figures like William Skeeles and other executives who allegedly perpetuated a culture of inequality. The case is presided over by Judge Eleanor L. Ross under Case ID 1:25-cv-07064-ELR-JHR.
