In a recent filing in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, plaintiff Robert Dace has initiated a lawsuit against MS Park Construction LLC. The case centers on allegations of racial discrimination and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1991. Dace, an African American male who was employed as a crane operator by the defendant, claims he faced racial slurs and was paid less than his Caucasian counterparts. Despite raising these issues with HR, Dace alleges that no action was taken, and he was subsequently terminated without notice. The complaint seeks damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and punitive damages among other reliefs.
