In a recent court filing, Toni Perling has brought a lawsuit against the CDC Foundation, alleging violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Georgia’s disability discrimination laws. The case, filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, claims that Perling faced retaliation and discrimination due to her disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and cardiac issues. Perling alleges that after requesting reasonable accommodations for her condition, she was subjected to retaliatory actions, denied a merit raise, and ultimately terminated from her position as a Senior Communications Officer. The CDC Foundation cited “workforce changes” as the reason for her termination. The lawsuit seeks damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and attorneys’ fees.
